GoGo Anna, NYC, 2005
Photo by Jessica Dimmock / VII. GoGo Anna, NYC, 2005.
From the photographer: ”Immediately after photographing Anna she barked at me. As someone who performs in a bikini on stage as a living, she is used to having her photograph taken without permission, and she doesn’t like it. But after a few minutes of talking she was very willing to be photographed, and to this day uses these photographs as the cover photo of her website and albums. We’ve been friends ever since. Anna Copacabana, a go-go dancer, is seen performing in New York and she regularly dances at a variety of clubs throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn.”
